Reformer Classes

At Retro Pilates, we offer a full-body workout on our sleek, stylish, state-of-the-art Allegro 2 Reformers. Using a dynamic combination of spring resistance and your own body weight, each session is designed to challenge your core strength, balance, coordination, stability, and flexibility.

With thoughtful instruction and guidance from our certified instructors, you’ll flow through a curated series of exercises that tone and strengthen your body from head to toe—all set to a playlist of groovy retro tunes that keep the vibe upbeat and fun!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

INRO TO RETRO
Perfect for beginners, this class introduces you to the mechanics of the Reformer, the fundamentals of Pilates, and emphasizes proper form and technique. We highly recommend taking at least one of these classes if you’re new to Pilates before moving on to the “All Levels” class.

ALL LEVELS
This class is open to everyone, regardless of experience or body type. While it offers a challenging, full-body workout, modifications are always encouraged so you can move at your own pace. A basic familiarity with the Reformer is recommended to get the most out of your session.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

MAT MIX (All Levels)
This dynamic class combines the traditional Pilates mat method with the versatility of the Reformer. Expect a full-body workout that blends bodyweight exercises with the resistance and support of the Allegro 2 Reformer. Perfect for all levels!

RETRO RECOVERY (All Levels)
A restorative experience rooted in Joseph Pilates’ philosophy of returning the body to “normal health.” Through intentional breathwork—our first pattern of movement—you’ll explore a gentle blend of contemporary Pilates, mobility drills, and modern biomechanics-inspired stretches.
Basically... Relax, Restore, Rebuild.

DANCE a’ LOTTIES (All Levels)
It’s a cardio party! This high-energy Dance/Pilates fusion class blends light choreography (think Zumba vibes) set to retro beats, followed by strengthening, lengthening, and toning on the Reformer.
Cardio blast meets core burn. Fun, upbeat, and sweat-inducing!

ABS, ARMS, ASS (All Levels)
This full-body burner focuses on your power zones—abs, arms, and peaches! Get ready for a sweaty session that tones and tightens all the right places.
‘Nuf said.

UPPER BODY (All Levels)
While Pilates is always full-body, this class gives extra love to your upper half—arms, shoulders, back, and chest. Using added resistance (bands, bungees, spring loads), expect strength-focused reps, plus planks, push-ups, and more.
A perfect complement to lower-body days or any strength routine.

LOWER BODY (All Levels)
Turn up the heat below the waist! This class emphasizes glutes, legs, and hips using the Reformer and functional Pilates movements. Lunges, squats, bridges—you name it.
Great for runners, boot campers, and anyone looking to build strength from the ground up.

LUNCHTIME AB BLAST (All Levels)
Short on time, but big on goals? This quick and efficient midday session targets your entire core with focused abdominal work designed to strengthen, tone, and sculpt. It’s the perfect energy boost to break up your day and leave you feeling stronger, refreshed, and ready to crush whatever comes next.

CLASSICAL PILATES (All Levels)
Rooted in the original method developed by Joseph Pilates, this class follows a systematic, flowing sequence of exercises designed to build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance body awareness. You'll move with intention and precision, emphasizing breath, control, and alignment on the mat and/or Reformer.
Expect a challenging yet thoughtful full-body workout that honors the classical tradition—pure, powerful, and effective.

SCULPT PILATES (All Levels)
All levels welcome! This high-energy mat fusion class is designed to make you sweat while building strength from the inside out. Using props like resistance bands, light weights, and the barre, you’ll challenge your core stability, endurance, and control—all while sculpting and toning your entire body.
Think Pilates meets power—dynamic, fun, and fierce!

JUMP BOARD (All Levels)
All levels are welcome! This high-energy Reformer class uses the jump board to bring cardio and spring-loaded resistance together for a fun, low-impact workout. Designed to elevate your heart rate without stressing your joints, this class is gentle on the knees while delivering serious results.
Think Pilates + plyometrics—without the pounding.

Jump Board

Jump Board Add-On (Featured in Select Reformer Classes)
Some of our Reformer classes incorporate the Jump Board—a fun, creative way to kickstart your day and add a cardio boost to your Pilates practice. This padded, spring-loaded platform allows for low-impact jumping that burns fat, tones the legs and booty, and builds endurance and stamina.

By elevating your heart rate in a joint-friendly way, the Jump Board adds a metabolic conditioning element to your workout, supporting heart health, lung capacity, and total-body strength. While Pilates is a powerful practice on its own, this cardio twist makes it an ideal complement to any sport or athletic training routine.
